Summer Wishlist 2014

Okay, okay feel free to yell. I know I've been gone for a millennium and I didn't come back when I said I would and for that I'm really and truly sorry. But, to make things better i have an apology present - this post.

I know that Summer is almost over so it's kinda weird that I'd be doing a Summer Wishlist at this point, but, I have been craving a few products recently and decided why not. When I think of Summer makeup I think of dewy skin and colour colour colour. But, since I'm more of a matte neutral kind of gal, I did incorporate just a little bit of that into the list.

The NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Trinidad

First up is this sheer foundation from NARS in the shade Trinidad. It helps to keep skin hydrated and gives and glowing and natural finish. This is ideal for me because I don’t usually like to wear full coverage foundation, but on days that I’d like to this foundation also offers buildable coverage.

Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Lotion Sunscreen with Broad Spectrum SPF 70
You have to remember your sun block people! And I like this one because not only does it protect against the sun’s rays but it also hydrates as well – I’m a sucker for moisturising! It’s sweat and water resistant - so beach here I come - and good both your face and body. It only works for 80 minutes though - I like spending quite some time at the beach - so I’d have to bring it along for touch ups.
6-Piece Geometric Eyeshadow Palette
I love E.L.F and their affordable, quality products. I’m not sure if I mentioned this before but I really like nude eyeshadows and tend to use them the most. This 6 piece eyeshadow palette from E.L.F is packed with them and only costs $3! Another plus for me is that they’re shimmery as well. It’d be perfect for me for all seasons really.
Real Techniques Blush Brush
I’m absolutely in love with my Real Techniques brushes. They’re are such good quality and efficient and I’d think that this blush brush would be no different. Though I'm not a blush kinda girl, I've heard that this brush is really great for applying bronzer.
Sigma | E32 – Exact Blend
Ooooh how I love me some Sigma and I love perfectly blended eyeshadow and this E32 exact blend brush from Sigma seems a good brush for the job. I heard a lot of good things about this brush and would love to give it a try!
Spring Capsule Collection by Rita Ora for Rimmel London
I love these lip colours for Spring in Rimmel’s Spring Capsule Collection which they collaborated on with Rita Ora. They’re lip crayons giving a smooth application. Although they're part of a Spring collection they still fit the Summer Bill to me. Hopefully though I can still get my hands on some of these.
T'is all!
Bye everyone! I’ll talk to you in the next post!

Summer Internship | Update #2

So guys, it's the day after the results and time for the big reveal. Did I get the job, didn't I? Well . . . let's just say that . . .

I totally did! I start working on Monday and I'm kinda nervous about it. The job that I got-

Wait, did I ever explain to you guys that none of us knew where we were going to be placed, and if so, we had no idea what we'd be doing? Well . . . if I didn't then now you know. It's kinda weird but it's the truth. So, moving on, the job that I got is not far from where I live, so yay!

I spent the whole of this morning - and some of the afternoon - downtown with my mom setting up my social security and bank account. The process was surprisingly fun. I hate my social security photo though - but then again, don't we all :D. I got my first ATM card as well and I made a mental promise to myself not to blow all my cash on makeup. I finally have cards to put in my purse! That's strangely been like a dream for me ever since I was a kid. I'm just really excited to start my first job - even though it's only for the summer.

When summer's over though, I plan to go onto sixth form and work around my classes and if that goes to plan then I'll be giving you guys heads up about the new job and the experience as well. If you have any questions about this whole thing I'll be more than glad to answer them for you.

I guess I can start saving up for that trip to Italy now, huh? ;)

Hope that you've enjoyed this update.

T's all.

Bye, and I'll talk to you in the next post!

Summer Internship | Update #1

A little while back I told you guys that I'd applied for an internship for the summer. Well two weeks ago I had an interview and it went surprisingly well (thought I was going to be a wreck) it was really nice. I guess some of that is because I practised my answers to some common interview questions, which is something that I really recommend that everyone do so as to avoid long silences while you're trying to formulate an answer in your head. Even something as simple as "Tell me about yourself" can just throw you off so much, because of course you know you, but your mind just goes blank. Anyway, I'm going off track here.
So, I had an interview two weeks ago, it went really well and the last week there was this whole two day workshop on Monday and Tuesday where they had different people come in and give a lecture - of sorts - about important things to know when entering the world of work. I found what they said to be really helpful and eye opening - eye opening to the point where I think I'm going to definitely miss school life once it's all over. But thankfully I still have two years of sixth form ahead, so I wont have to go there yet. So at the end of the two day workshop they said that they's give all 60 of us a call this week.
I got my call this morning to come into their office tomorrow at 2 so I can pick up the letter that will tell me whether or not I got a job. So tomorrow I'll let you know exactly what happens.
Also at the end of the workshop we were all instructed to write about where we see ourselves in five-ten years and like the true procrastinator that I am, I haven't finished. I need to take that in with me tomorrow when I pick up the letter and so I'll get to working on that soon.
That's pretty much it for the update and of course if I do get a job then there'll be many more updates to come, but for now, t'is all.
Have you got yourself an internship lined up for this summer?

If so, what's the experience been like for you so far?

Bye everyone and I'll talk to you in the next post!

Apologies . . . and Blogger's Block

Hey guys, I know that it's been, what, 19 days now since my last post and I'm so sorry for leaving you all hanging like that. I've been having some serious "blogger's" block lately and I just wanted to update you guys on what's been going on so far and why I've been missing. Though I wont be posting today, I promise that I'll be back by the weekend with some new posts. I just need a bit more time to refresh.

I'm so sorry again for the long wait and I'll be back soon!
